use the ‘\r’ combo instead of ‘\n’
hostname,hostalias,hostaddress,hoststate :%s/,/\r/g
hostname hostalias hostaddress hoststate
To go back the other way, use ‘\n’ instead of ‘\r’..weird
:%s/\n/,/g
replacing-comma-with-newline
